About Project

The project starts at Deemount Store and ends at Izingolweni and is approximately 28km in length.
The project comprises of the upgrading of a gravel road to a Type 3: Provincial Road Standard i.e. total black top surface width of 8.5m with 2 lanes. The total length of P58 is 26.040kms. The road traverses through District Council 21 which serves the Izingolweni RRTF Area from Deemount Store to Izingolweni. The project serves Inkanyezi Yamachi Junior Primary, Phumza Combined Primary, Mbonwa Junior Secondary, Sbonisweni Senior Secondary, Ebomvini Combined Primary, Elim Provincial Clinic and Xhamini Provincial Clinic.
A pavement shoulder will be provided to accommodate pedestrians especially as the road is used by scholars.
