About Project

The proposed upgrade of Umzimkhulu pedestrian bridge across the UmzimKhulu River between urnzimkhulu Local Municipality and Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipalify. The proposed method of construction will be to design a steel suspension bridge.

The co-ordinates of the proposed footbridge are at 30° 10.1441S and 29° 54′ 548E across the Umzimkhulu River of Umzimkhulu Local Municipality of Sisonke District. Traveling from Umzimkhulu Town, taking P246 which links Creighton to the MR 416, the existing bridge is located approximately 0.5km on the left from the P416 road.
